This page describes what MrKan collects and what we do with it. It is written against the trial form as that form actually is today, not against a template — so when the form changes, this page changes with it.

Plain language, and not legal advice. This is an accurate description of what the site does, written by the people who built it. It is not a lawyer’s document and does not claim to be one.

What this website collects

The public pages — the landing page, this page and the terms — set no cookies, load no analytics and no trackers, and record nothing about you. The only external request any page makes is to Google Fonts for the three typefaces, which means Google receives your IP address and browser details in the ordinary course of serving a font file.

What the trial form collects

The trial form asks for exactly four things, and nothing is collected in the background:

FieldWhy we ask
Your nameSo a reply is addressed to a person.
Work emailTo set the board up against that address and to reply to you.
CompanyTo name the workspace, and to know who we are talking to.
Team sizeTo size the board sensibly before you arrive.

At the time of writing the form is not connected to anything, and it says so on the page itself: pressing the button sends nothing and stores nothing. When it is connected, what is submitted goes to us and is used for the reasons in the table above.

What we do not do with it

Board data, once you have a board

A hosted board holds what you put on it — cards, comments, attachments, and the record of who did what and when. That record is the product: MrKan attributes every write, and an audit trail you could opt out of would not be one.

Agents you connect act under their own accounts with their own tokens, and their writes are attributed to them exactly as a person’s are. An agent’s access is the board grants it has been given and nothing wider.

Asking for it back, or asking us to delete it

Ask, and we will export everything on your boards and hand it to you, or delete it. There is no form for this and no waiting period we impose on ourselves; a board you cannot leave is not one we want to sell.

Changes to this page

If what we collect changes, this page changes in the same release — it is written against the form, so a form change that left it stale would be a bug rather than an oversight. The date at the top is the date it last changed.

Getting in touch

Contact details go here before launch. Publishing a page about your data without saying how to reach us about it would be the wrong way round, and it is tracked rather than forgotten.
